Policy Summary:
This Visitor Policy outlines the expectations and guidelines for individuals visiting Trinity University. Visitors are welcome on campus; however, they must comply with all University rules and policies. Those who do not comply may be subject to removal and may receive a criminal trespass warning.
Purpose:
The purpose of this policy is to ensure a welcoming, safe, and secure environment for all members of the Trinity University community, including visitors. By establishing clear expectations for visitor conduct and adherence to campus rules, this policy aims to protect the integrity of the University’s facilities and foster a respectful community atmosphere.
Scope:
This policy applies to all individuals visiting Trinity University. This includes but is not limited to:
- Prospective students and their families
- Alumni
- Contractors and vendors
- Guests of faculty, staff, and students
- Members of the general public attending University events or conducting business on campus
Exceptions:
Exceptions to this policy may be made on a case-by-case basis by University administration for specific events, individuals, or circumstances. Any such exceptions must be requested and approved in writing and in advance of the event by the Trinity University Chief of Police or their designee.
Policy Content
All visitors to Trinity University are required to follow University policies, regulations, and guidelines while on campus. These policies include but are not limited to:
- Health and safety rules
- Code of conduct
- Parking and transportation regulations
- Facility use and access rules
Visitors who fail to comply with University policies or engage in disruptive, unsafe, or prohibited behavior may be:
- Asked to leave campus immediately
- Issued a criminaltrespass warning, prohibiting future visits to campus
A criminal trespass warning may be issued to any individual who violates University policies or fails to comply with instructions from University officials. This warning will restrict the individual’s access to Trinity University property and may be enforced indefinitely or for a specified period, depending on the circumstances of the violation.
